Conversation Starters
Whether you’re sending your first message or initially replying to someone on Hireup, It can be hard to find the right words to say and the time to draft a message.
To make this simpler for our community, we have introduced Conversation Starters. Each time you initially reach out or reply to someone new, two conversation starters will appear. Like one of the suggestions? Simply select one and hit send, or keep adding to the text to personalise the message.
Connecting with someone new? Keen to learn more about a job? Or simply responding to say no thank you? Why not try one of our conversation starters for yourself! It’s a quick and easy way to open up a conversation or close the loop.
What's next?
As part of our recent updates to Hireup Messages, we removed read receipts which informed our users whether or not their message had been read. We understand that some of our community liked this feature and we are looking to bring it back but, want to do this in a way that makes sense for you and for Hireup, in a way that is beneficial to our users and doesn't cause any anxiety.
We want to encourage more connections and conversations! Instead of leaving messages as just "read", we've made it super convenient to provide responses.
